i came here for participating in contests.. there are so many talented people here.. i know photoshop.. i am not an expert.. i am somewhat nearing the intermediate level.. though i cannot produce a better output.. whats the problem? some produce output with vibrant colours.. but i cant do that?? where am i lacking.. could someone direct me as of what i should concentrate on?
yup.. thats nice idea.. here ya go.. i have just now started.. so i dont have a huge collection.. they have been ordered from old to recent one..
Have a look at the kind of logos people are producing, and try to replicate them, coz in that way you gain experience, as ofcourse, you'll have to go through tutorials etc. to get the intended effect. Mostly gradients of 2 close colours, produce a very good vibrant result.
Maybe you should try to be more experimental instead of just varying a few things in a proposed design..
hmm.. thanks.. besides, what s/w should i use to produce vector drawings?? and is there anything beyond photoshop? lol.. don't ask me "have you mastered photoshop?".. just curious..
Not sure about tutorials don't read much. But there are some good ones at Tutorialized.com - Search 'Text' keeping Photoshop as Category, and you will surely get something worth learning. About this. Well there's always illustrator.
Exactly.. You could also use After Effects but try to master photoshop first. Illustrator is a bit more tricky.
Designing isn't hard, it's just that you need to have an eye for it. Most designers would say you either have it or you don't, but tonnes of practice and observing can get you there. That's what design schools are for, after all.
yes you just need to practice. And you dont need to have Photoshop or illustrator. You could use Xara Xtreme, and it is much easier to use than Photoshop or illustrator. If you have a good eye and some skill then you can use different tools , or software and create the same designs..
I would suggest to make the arrow image larger to make the logo more vibrant and using a two-tone gradient color. I can see a rich (brightly colored green)/darker green. Your text should be a solid color, but if you want it to have a glass effect then I would suggest to use the same effect from the image logo to your text but in a different color. Two-tone in text makes it hard to read unless you are using a heavy font. Photoshop is good to use because it makes using effects easy, but the best program to use for creating logos is with illustrator. You can NEVER GO WRONG in illustrator when you design a logo. Why?? when it goes to print, it will appear exactly as it was created, its scalable, and will always be crispy! Even glass effects from an ai file prints pretty darn good and much better than ps, FYI.
wow.. a detailed advise.. thanks.. but a majority of the vendors ask for a psd file..so, is it possible to create vector in illustrator and convert it to psd format?
hmm you need to collect .psd all over the internet and mixed but try diffrent look a designer need magic
