IE6 has always been controversial when it comes to its CSS rendering engine. Web designers, around the world, have been complaining perennially about its monstrous bugs. IE7 has fixed most of the bugs, however; the majority of browsing public still hasn’t upgraded their Internet Explorers. To entertain these users, we have to put so much effort and deal with these bugs using various IE hacks.

    CSS Conditional Statements
You have to write special CSS conditional statements to get your websites work on IE6. For instance, You can have a look at the IE6 Italic font bug.
Either you would have to put so much effort hacking the IE6 bugs or you would have to yell at your client for not upgrading/changing his browser.

    PNG bug
Internet Explorer 6 doesn’t support PNG alpha transparency.

There are numerous bugs in IE6 and if you still don’t hate Microsoft for that, Visit IE Exposed.
Either you don’t use PNG and CSS selectors or you can stop using the IE hacks; either way you are going to get fired. If you want to design happily ever after, you would have to live with the hacks and wait till the majority of users switch to a better browser like FF or upgrade their current IE6s.
