Greetings all, I have a client that is looking for a more elegantly designed version of their family's coat of arms, to be used on the family's website. The requirement is that it meets the following specific and general guidelines: Instructions: Post pics here, I will critique. Specific: High resolution image, minimum of 1024x768 pixels in PSD, PNG or JPG format upon delivery White or transparent background Shield pattern, either wooden, metal, or combination Shield pattern should be split four ways as a typical coat of arms is, each box should contain one of the following types of symbols: i. a bicep flexing or similar symbol for physical strength, ii. an open book or similar symbol for intelligence, iii. a cross as a symbol of christian spirituality, iv. two hands shaking with a pyramid in the background Underneath the shield should be a scroll type graphic with the name "Douthitt" without quotes written on the scroll in Old English font General Design should be classic, timeless, elegant Design should be inspired by English royalty Design should not look 'high tech' or 'like it was made by a computer' so no bright neon colors, web two point o, etc. Colors preferred are white, black, dark brown wood, metal preferably precious in nature; red and yellow per the below COA, as well as foilage/plantlife are a plus but not high priority The family's historical coat of arms is as follows. They would find elements from this being incorporated a plus if they can be done creatively however it is the lowest of priorities.Winner will be decided on or before Nov. 7, 2011. I will periodically check the forum and give critiques to participants to get the graphics closer to how the family would prefer them. Thanks and good luck View attachment 64357
As there have been no takers, I am extending the contest to 11/11. If there is confusion about the way this should look, please see the concept of the 'four square' COA on the following shield: http://www.fleurdelis.com/graphics/victoria.gif
