Design change and traffic is down 50%

I have just completed a design upgrade. The transfer started on Friday and now it is complete. I am panicking a little bit since a 50% drop is pretty big. I did not do the change so I am unsure what might have been done to decrease my traffic. Do you think in a few days my traffic will come back up? I have looked at everything and do not see anything wrong. Thank you.

It happened to me once. I had one blog that was getting 90% of its traffic from Google Search Results. I changed the template of the blog and as soon as I made the change, the blog's traffic dropped dramatically. The traffic, however, returned after a month.

Don't worry. You traffic will show up again. Just wait.

Did the design change include changes to navigation links?

Actually the links stayed the same but something i thought about is I used to have page navigation on the bottom of the page and now I no longer have that. My actual links have stayed the same. I see my visitors slowly moving up so hopefully in a few days I will be back to normal. On a positive note my CTR and eCPM moved up a lot.

I'm confused. The actual links stayed the same but you removed the bottom navigation links?

Example of how my site looked: furniturestoreblog.com - if you look at the bottom he has page navigation(numbers for each page)
Now here is my site now tevami.com - this is after the design change - notice no page navigation on the bottom.

Might be there are some displacement of the content due to which rankings have been hampered

Just found out the problem today. Somehow tags are not working. I checked my stats and I have 42% of my visitors come from tags.

Okay tags were not the issue. The coder placed the incorrect feed in the template. I fixed the issue and traffic is back up.

when people are used to the design for years and years and then you suddenly change its look without even warning them then that probably upsets visitors.
