Hello, I was wondering if a review landing page or a descriptive landing page is considered a lot more effective. From each of your experiences, have you seen much higher conversion and/or click through rates with either one of them? I am not getting nearly as high click through rates as I would expect, and I am trying to figure out if it is landing page type, or keywords. Thanks.
Usually, for both websites, you must play around with the graphics. You must make sure that there is a call to action. It would increase your clickthrough rates.
In a nutshell, all you can do is test. It's different for each market. It totally depends on what the mindset of the visitor is when he first reaches your site. In different markets, there will be a certain mindsets that the majority of people in that market have. For instance, the Diet market. Everyone who wants to lose weight has been hit so hard by all the ads promising them the easy stuff but they just can't seem to succeed. So, in this case, most people in this market would like to read reviews before purchasing a product. And what they want are real, honest reviews... if you can provide that. For certain markets, where the product is unique and unknown. You would need to be descriptive, you need to show your visitors what the product is able to do and the benefits the customers will get. I hope that you get what I'm saying. Not all markets are the same. That's why all I can say is test.
