I am wondering if when doing onsite optimization and writing the description tags, is it up to the SEO specialist to write the whole description. Or first you request a description from the client and then you fix it according to the keyword optimization. thanks
The description should be written by the client and modified by the SEO/Copywriter unless they have outsourced content writing to you also. It all depends on how you want to go.
Thank you for the reply. That is what I thought. It just seems that clients most of the time don't want to do their part.
Clients always hire SEO Experts to do complete on-site & off-site Search engine optimization for the website, I think SEO specialist should do it from his side.
If someone hire a SEO consultant that means its the responsibility of the consultant to write optimized contents, but you may ask your client to get an idea about their services and compile the best out of that.
The description tag is also addressed humans some how. And it can be what determines for a user to click on the link or not. So it also has to have the site's main idea or concept. What if I write something that is optimize but then the client does not like the message it gives.......... Any more thoughts or personal experiences, since I already having this issue with two of my clients and they really dont feel is part of their job, or "they don't have time". Thanks
