I have site in Joomla 2.5. There are 20 articles with flash objects in it. But there is no text in these articles. Is it bad for SEO??? Must I add texts in these articles and how many words (symbols) must be in this text if it's necessary for SEO? Thnx for answers.
Search engine will rank your website for text content, videos tags, image tags etc helps spider to understand the content of a webpage, however mainly its the text content which basic for ranking a website. An article of 500 to 1200 is good to go.
Flash cannot be read because as code, it is only seen as an image. Google needs to be able to read text in order to rank your website accordingly
Hello friends, I agree with all your comments, as "imworld" said search engine spiders do look for sufficient amount of content to bind your page with related keywords lying in your page content. To push your webpage under SERPs for a particular keyword you do have to add text on your page basis what you would be able to create anchor text in link backs pointing to your webpage so that search engines would be able to see a relationship between your webpage content and link anchor text.
