    1. AdSense Tracker seems good from my reading of the ToS.

    2. I've been running it for many months with no problems.

    3. If Google complains, I am not worried. In an attempt to better communicate with Google AdSense Support, I have been practicing Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Oriya, Punjabi, Assamese, Kashmiri, Sindhi, and Sanskrit. I would add Hindustani to that list, but I can seem to find a resource for it at my local bookstore.

No. The couple of systems that I looked at were PHP-based. My sites are Java-based, so they don't help me.

Anyhow, I've been mostly happy with using channels to track the high-level stuff. Yes, it would be nice to have detailed info at times, but I'm too busy to spend a lot of time worrying about it....

    A tracker can tell you:

what works in the ad formats. For example, I get most of my clicks on 336*280 but 10% on 486*60, about 10% on the 120*90 text links and 2% on the 120*240

which are giving me the most clicks?
    # which keywords
    # which days
    # what time of day
    # which referrers
    # which ads (with sitename)

    - Ads: Since I know the domain of the advertiser I can see what they are advertising and if it is not a quality product, filter as required.

    - Referrrers: I know most of my traffic comes from SEs but there are a few really good referring sites... I need more of those :)

As I said in my previous post, all this stuff helps you to tweak a little more revenue out of the ads but don't expect a trickle to turn into a raging torrent.

Excellent feedback. I was hoping the whole thread would be like this.

I use ASREP and clickbuild pretty much describes the benefits of these tracking softwares.

Also I've been experimenting with different colours on the ads and asrep will instantly show me what colour ad is getting clicked the most. I especially like this with adlinks where google doesn't show you the initial click (but tracking software does).

Also support has been excellent, I've emailed them twice and had a reply within hours.

    Now to the annoying things:

The software can't show detailed information for all types of browsers (just writes Unknown GECKO), and it can't show what happens after a user clicks on an adlink, which ofcouse is expected.

Also with my traffic, it's getting a tad slow.

Why would you want to learn so many languages?

Aren't they all Indian languages? What has learning them got to do with Google AdSense?

I use the Adsense Status plug-in for the Google Desktop at work and use the Revenue Checker for Adsense at home.

The last one is really powerfull and intuitive.
