Describe your experience with adsense trackers

I'm thinking about installing one. But know nothing about them. Which tools are out there? Is any one of them the best. And most importantly, for those who tried them, what was your real world experience? How did you use them to improve your earnings?

I use ASREP and i am very satisfied.

It was installed in a few minutes and helped me a great deal (and still does)

There is a freeware version with reduced functionality, just give it a try!

I really like it, but i have not tried others.

I use a regular counter called Addfreestats. It's not made for Google AdSense per se, BUT it tracks where your visitors left your site when they clicked on your ads. It also tells you which add_URL they clicked on.

I am using AdSense Tracker right now and am very happy with it.

However, if I had to do it all over again, I would start with AdSenselogger, because it is open source.

Other options are listed atHow do I get better stats from Google AdSense?

I find that AdSense Tracker helps me to focus on what pages I should improve and what new pages I should build.

It would probably help me more if I weren't so darned stubborn about listening to advice.

How do this tracker help you? Could you please explain in what way you find them useful?

    Thanks!

I can't find the download page. I thought I found it finally but it brought me right back to the same front page.

Your adsenselogger site points to an adsense spam site...

Search google for a cache of the site you were talking about (I can't post links yet).

The site has been taken over somehow. I do not know how.

That is the correct URL. I checked with two other sources.

Well, it was the correct URL. :(

I would be careful about using any 3rd party software that sends your adsense click data to another site for processing. (Addfreestats sounds like one). That means you aren't the only one who can see the stats coming in.

AdsenseLogger: Release v1.1 readme lists adsenselogger.com as the URL for the developer "(c)2005 Chris Hansen" - however the URL does forward to adsenseguide.info - DNS updated in april so not sure what is going on there... One of the downsides to open source.

I have a fresh copy of the free adsense tracker "adsenselogger" v1.1 if anyone needs it.

I am currently using the commercial product "Adsense Tracker" - pretty good product, no support - well, at least I have never got a response to my emails. The stats can be helpful but then so can channels (helped to clarify a vertical).

Tracking is reasonably accurate on clicks (+/-10%) but for me, wildly out on page impressions compared to G.

Example - 5/26/05, G:1260 impressions, AST:2,977 impressions, Webalizer (log analyzer): 3191 pages - I can stand some disprepancies but sixty odd percent less seems a bit much, even if you figure in javacript turned off, spiders etc - maybe they only count vistors or short term cookies?

Anyway, are trackers worth the cost/setup? If you are getting decent traffic/revenue then probably yes as small tweaks may get you more cash. If not, use something free as the tracker is not going to give you the information to increase your income THAT much.

    HTH

script seems to have gone poof from adsenselogger.com, check the forum here:

    http://www.adsenseguide.info/forum/adsenselogger-vf17.html

I'm using the script myself and must say it's very usable.

    good luck

    It is the correct url.
AdsenseLogger is directed to adsenseguide.info until the new release is sorted out. Or so it says in the forum. The old version is apparently no longer available.
So what would cause someone to completely remove access to the software. I can only assume that either they found a massine security hole, they got a C&D for some reason, or, they are moving to a paid for model (which I doubt).
If anyone has a copy of adsenselogger could they send it to me.

If you read carefully, you will note that the entire message from Google is actually content-free.

Since the software is gpl'ed, I do not think that there is going to be a paid model. Support may end or cost, but the software is free (as in freedom).

There is this note in the forums though:
    http://www.adsenseguide.info/forum/goodbye-to-adsenselogger-vt655.html

I wrote short review of adsenselogger here.

Yes, it's couched in very generic language and doesn't actually forbid you from doing it, but I just wanted to point out that if you end up doing something that violates the TOS, blaming the script writers won't help you.
