It is all about content and backlinks. I started Adsense about a year and a half ago. I read a book called The Adsense Code and it helped me really understand Adsense more. I can give you Reader's Digest Version Here: Double Large Boxes at the top of the page, will increase click throughs into double digits. I found that my clikc through rate more than doubles using that method. Writing good content and creating backlinks with good anchor text to your pages. Whoever said it on top: The More Traffic, The More Click Throughs, The More Income you will make.... Don't get discouraged. Adsense is not the complete answer. It is a great revenue source though, if done correctly. You can PM me with some details and can give you some friendly advice.
I had to work with Adsense for over 3 years to make my first 4000 $ a month. The first year was a pain! There is no "quick money" with Adsense. And what semeasy wrote is absolutely right. Just don't give up. Testing, testing, testing and doing, doing, doing ;-)
You have a nice site but your problem is you have very little backlinks. My guess is you have little traffic? I just looked in Yahoo Explorer and at present you only have 36 external backlinks. You have got to get way, way more than that to get your traffic up.
AdSense does not work by itself. 1. Content 2. Content 3. Content 4. GoTo 1 First you have to invest and then this investment will return to you. Invest in content, SEO, promote your site, etc. AdSense is one of last steps in good web site.
Social bookmarking, writing and submitting articles to article directories such as ezinearticles.com with a link back to your site) commenting on blogs in your niche, creating and submitting videos and slideshows are all great ways to get traffic to your site. Adsense is not a get rich quick business It takes time to build. And like many of the other forum members suggested, keep adding new content. And educate yourself. Learn about proper ad placement and so on. Keep on learning and don't give up.
rome was not built in a day - unless u work more towards ur goal , u may never earn enough via adsense .
Agreed. We built in full integration with the Digg api over a year ago. Some of our readers are ranked in the top 50 diggers so I don't ever even need to submit anything to Digg, others have the same sort of position with Stumbleupon and Reddit. The thing is these sites can send you so much traffic in a day you get knocked offline - last time we made the front page we did manage to stay up. Just. Anyway, the reason Diggers submit the stuff is because it's actually interesting. People who see the internet as some get rich thing are stupid because it's not. What you can do though is build up a successful website thanks to lots of good content and gradually accumulate a growing number of readers and the more readers you get the bigger your business will be. It really is that simple.
build unique content and seo. Don't only focus on adsense. If you have 100000 uv daily, you can monetize with affiliate product, sell ads space, joint venture, etc. So, it is a long term goal.
don't be so hard on yourself just because you read lots of success stories, don't forget that the far majority of people are not making enough to get paid anything in a year
here's mine; pee's me off I tell ya Page Impressions: 148,405 Clicks: 713 Page CTR: 0.48% Total < $100 but > $90

Don't give up. Just continue to promote your site and get more traffic. Traffic is the major factor toear money in adsense.
Hi everyone, I've found a lot of help on this thread for which I'm very grateful. What seems sure is that its a waiting game in terms of getting traffic and therefore Adsense income. I'm going to stick it out and concentrate on building good content and see what happens.... Good luck to all of you. M
