First thing first, Stop Building website for Adsense. Secondly also read Why your adsense site fails to make money. Probably the only good advice I can give you is stick to topic which you like most and look for other revenue streams.
One way to keep visitors on your site or to keep them coming back add something different (Kill the boredome of website and keep your loyal visitors). I make around $20 a month on just this site( from adsense and Widegetbuck, check what I did to my PR3 site Buffalo Arcade You could add a arcade script to your site and visitors will come back to play your games and this is a stand alone site with no maintenance, I learn that the large image adsense ad block on arcade site the Cost/Click: $0.40 - $1.00 this pay better than forum ads.
The only thing that one need to earn lot of money with adsense is Traffic. Traffic = $$$. You need to do SEO and get traffic from SEs in order to make some good money with adsense.
Hello, Why not put your sites in your signature, people may be able to give you more targeted help then. At the very least helps search engines find your site.
Now adsense accout to get very hard. Site and blog must be unique content and some old age and fit on google webmaser guide lines.
Want traffic the best way to start put your site in your signature. By doing this you acomplish two thing,s traffuc and a backlink.
I am kind of in the same boat !, Backlinking helps to get traffic, submit to directories social bookmarking sites ezine etc..
So far out of reach is the most accurate phrase I've heard. I'm also in the same boat. I didn't add ads to my site immediately I admit, as it was started as a hobby but grew. However by then, I had some traffic and members but not making any money. 10c a day if i was lucky. Past few months, there's been days when I've earned over a dollar and was happy, but that was only 1 day out of about 4-6 weeks. This month I've had several days where it's been over a dollar, even some over $2. Which to some, still isn't much, and, what they can make, is so far out of reach. But then again, so did earning a dollar, so I guess patience is the key My next step is getting at least a dollar every day and at least 50c on weekends . Patience lol. $18 would be nice lol. Or even $5 . How can you check the Avg Posn of your ads? I've recently re-arranged my ads, but I feel they need working on some more. Lol
Traffic, traffic, traffic....that's my advice to you. Now how you generate the traffic is up to you. Good keyword research, good on page SEO, good link building. Oh, and have a site about something people want or need. These are they keys. My advice, get your feet wet by using Adsense. Learn how to get your sites seen and increase your daily unique views. Eventually you will see that Adsense is just the tip of the iceberg as far as your online earnings are concerned, as you diversify into other areas of revenue.
Heh well he need money to get a nice woman otherwise he will be depressed with the woman he got with $0 in his pocket Whats your site we can give you more concrete ways to have clicks , as it isn't just traffic, you need to drive traffic into actual clicks For 2 months I have an add at the bottom of a page where 1 2 3 4 navigation was and it was like 3K impressions and ~5 clicks than i put the banner at the top before the listings DING DONG the revenue increased by 50%+ though the site looks odd now MFA-like
How is this "very hard" exactly? It is called having a good web site, not spammy crap. The point is, you don't try to have success with adsense, you try to have a successful web site first. Then you think about advertising.
Traffic is the key. And traffic always comes when you have: (1) a quality/value website with a lot of repeat/loyal visitors, or (2) a website with loads of original content. If you have both, (1) and (2), which would be a user-generated-content website, that is the best scenario. There is also (3), the AdWords/AdSense arbitage, but that's a separate topic.
First of all, they say content is king. Backlinks is queen. Both are interrelated. After you get the first two worked out, then traffic should come naturally. And to get money, you really need to get picked up by the search engines so that's when SEO comes into play. I don't think it's an exact science either and some sites and niches just do better than others so don't hold all your eggs in one basket especially if it's not producing.
dont' worry about it. once you build a site that is semi-authoritative for your "topic" - you will have great earning potential - even if it's not through adsense. You didn't post any details, so we can't give specific help...but yah, just focus on making your site "authorittive" and the earnings power will follow. I did it. That means anyone can.
I always believe the key thing to success is having a right start. Most people just get involved without first doing keyword research and what they should actually concentrate on. Once you have the keywords you want to aim for, just work on it to get top search engine ranking position.
I know exactly what you mean. I have been working with adsense for years and have 3 sites using adsense and still only average about $2 per day. I wrote blog posts everyday for over a month and still not much luck. On the bright side I do average $2 per day so maybe I will see a big increase soon!
We can make good money in adsense but not like them . Those amounts they have published in stories were in past when no one was aware of adsense ads . Now go and check how many blogs are their on blogspot and wordpresss . Keep working on your sites and blogs , update them regularly than you can make good money .
The thing that most people don't realize is that the top bloggers, A list bloggers, don't make their money from Adsense anymore. I'm sure at one point they did, but eventually the learned, as all of the BIG earners do, that you can make so much more with affiliate products, & Adsense just isn't even a factor for those guys anymore. For the rest of us, use Adsense to make you money while you're working on other projects and eventually you won't even rely on adsense for your income. Making $20 or $40 a day with Adsense isn't difficult if you get creative, and put in some work, but there are so many other ways to diversify your income out there...you just need to think outside the box (for lack of a better phrase) and find it!.
Hey Marcus Aurelius , you did not tell us what you want, one big advice if the thing that you love can be blogged about you should do so as that will certainly make more money for you , and you will do the job you like , you will make unique content thus you will succeed
Well I thought I'd register on here after lurking for a while and make a post about this... and it's totally right. My income from Adsense is peanuts, about 400 dollars a month for over a million page views. I can sell an advert on the front page of the website for more than that to an interested party myself! I can do this because we are a leading website, we're successful and prestigious. The national press talk about us and so on and I am in the newspapers several times a month. Income from affiliates is substantial... for example we built a recruitment section, did a deal with a job agency who pay us $900 for every single job we list (these are jobs paying six figure salaries). We have listed 120 this month... you can do the maths. Why do they pay us so much? Well we fill about five of them a week through the website and they get 15% of the salary so assuming they are getting say 75,000 and then paying us $11,500! You'll like this... I even persuaded them to pay us $400 a month to block their rivals from advertising with Adsense on us! LOL. Not advertising one advertiser on Adsense earns as much as the entire Adsense programme does, it's that rubbish. Another affiliate earns us even more. Even more I mean about $100,000 a month. ps - by "us" I really mean me.
