dependant visa holder with adsense confusion.

    • firstly i am on dependant visa in usa so i m not to work and earn money.
    • i want to put up adsense on my website and earn money ,but the problem is i have to show my tax sheet i have heard.which is not possible here in usa.as i am dependant and that becomes illegal.
    • so can i open a google account in my brothers name who is in india and operate the website from usa,(website and google account will be in my brothers name )i will be updating it.will there be any problem?he will be paying any tax iff neaded.iff there will be problems what that might be?any other possible solution for this.

    You can have your account opened with a Credit card account of your brother in India. Most of the indian adsense publishers dont pay tax - Yet.

    that's true.. I don't know a single person in self employment in India's Web firm that pays tax. Sad but true.

    You can probably open one in your brother's name but Google is going to want to mail the check to an address in India not America

    thank u for the help friends ,vinodis i did not understand which account should be opened with my brothers credit card (can u explain in detail).thing is i want to open account and do all the work ,and he only receives the money(i will be giving indian address).i think in indian u need not pay tax till u r earning 12 thousand ruppees per month if it exceeds that amount we have to pay tax is nt it? iff not then how can u bypass paying tax .how come they indian adsense publishers skiping tax,(wont there be need of filling tax returns form?) oh i m confused.

    I cannot comment on paying tax on adsense income, as I don't earn that much to pay tax. Regarding opening the account in your brother's name, It means you will use his CC to verify and join Adsense. The address also will be his. The Google PIN and Cheque will arrive at his address. So go ahead and trust(!) your brother to wire that money to your US Bank account. Btw, You need to wait till your adsense income reaches $100 to get your first cheque.

    In India, it comes under NRI/Foreign(personal) income. So according to the government rules you need not pay tax.
