See what happens when you piss conservatives off?

I know I haven't given a dime to the GOP and will not do so until they get off their asses and start acting like true representatives.

Now if Fred Thompson would ever announce... I might be inclined to send a few bucks his way, but that's another story.

whooptie...money doesn't win an election, it helps, but it doesn't win. A few well placed youtube ads or swiftboat type ads and you get a lot of bang for a little bit of buck. Most of that money goes to transportation costs anyway.

True, but it still says a lot about the disgruntled GOP base.

I'm not sure...a million bucks used to be a lot of money, but now it is just a drop in the hat...plus, I think that most groups that handle these "records" of campaign cash forget just how much romney and shrillary have to themselves...they alone have more than many of the other candidates combined.

Let's not forget that the GOP had to lay off 40 reps and close down a call center because they were missing fund raising goals by more than 50%.

Granted, I'm not a Republican anymore, but I do work with a lot of Republicans and none of them are giving.

I'm not suggesting that Dems are giving more, but Republicans are certainly giving less.

remind me why a "conservative" should give money to the GOP anymore?

The GOP support of illegal immigration - and calling anyone who opposed the shamnesty bill racists and bigots, didn't exactly wash over to well with the base.

Republicans haven't learned any of the lessons from the 2006 election. Till they do, I'd expect the faucet to continue to run a little dry.

I have a hard time giving money to anyone that isn't willing to give at least the same percentage of their income towards their cause. Hey if I gave $20 to kerry's campaign I think he should pull $20 million of his own right?

Personally never have given any money to a candidate. I will support with a vote the one who is actually closest to me in beliefs on certain issues, ones that affect the most people in the right ways (even if some don't think so...)
