If only you were in the middle of the road, preferably a 10 lane highway. Go on, say something left wing so
You guys like Drudge and claim he is evenhanded? Pick a story that is; A. Not a half truth B. Not planted by political operatives Per the reference in the NY Post. Dems said....we do them a favor and they attack us. Drudge report is a favorite of the Bush Cheney war room. Their jobs? Scrutinize every little detail from any Dem anywhere. Twist it, make fun of it, plant it everywhere they can. Their favorite source....the Drudge report. Give examples of even handed reporting. no plants...no editorializing!
Since when do dems do the rep. a favor??? If they wanted to keep their promise, they should have just said "no, you can't have the day off for a football game." Instead they are incompetant and now try to blame it on the GOP.
ep: Your one weak and questionable example is completely outclassed by the scientific research performed by UCLA. You're pissing up a rope here.
Great Stuff: George Bush's Compassionate Republicanism at work Republican Minority Leader asks Steny Hoyer a favor to cancel a day of Congress so he can watch a football game. Is granted a favor. Republican operatives back stab Hoyer--plant a story immediately criticising Hoyer for going against the new pledge of a fully active busy Congress--unlike the one Republicans ran. The change was made to accommodate the Republicans. Republicans plant the story in the Drudge report. A blog that republicans claim is balanced. Republican twinkie puppeteers refuse to acknowledge the favor and call Hoyer and Democrats INCOMPETENT. Do you trust these compassionate republicans?
BTW: here is another reference to the House closing on 1/8/07 by Anderson Cooper of CNN. http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/and...01/congress-skips-work-to-watch-football.html Notice the comments, notice the breadth of the story, notice the references to Hoyer and Boehner. Notice the breadth of responses by commentators. Which story is more thorough? Which offers a wide range of comments? Its no wonder that latest polls suggest 2/3 to 70% of the American public disagree with Bush on Iraq. I'm amazed though that there are 1/3 of the population who seem to be Republican puppet people.
*see posts 67 and 85...but of course that is not what EP wants to hear...he wants to hear that drudge screwed up, not the dems...
The puppets are the morons who listen to the leftist propagandists who dominate the mainstream media, such as CNN. Eventually, a lot of them grow out of liberalism. Modern liberalism is an infantile philosophy. Anyone who stays a liberal into their adulthood is mentally, emotionally, or morally stunted.
d16: I acknowledged that there could have been another way to do so. I acknowledged it w/MarRome. My not making a response to post 67, it was tacit acknowledgement of what you said. As for post 85--hah, seems like you have a hard time speaking to alternative ways to handle the issue without calling dems incompetent. While this thread started out on the Cindy Sheehan topic--it moved to the 1/8/07 cancellation of congress pretty quick. Then it also covered territory about biased reporting. 2 examples of different articles concerning the cancellation point out that the Drudge blog statements: Did not cover the entirety of the story. It was highly editorialized and attacking of dems in a partisan way. Even more so when you consider that Drudge reported only 1 side of the story. He first published this on 1/5/07. Eight days later he has neither amended, retracted, changed, or altered the story in any way. Now after spending some time researching the Research from UCLA and acknowledging I couldn't understand rhyme or reason why they were using "think tank" citations I stopped. Why? This Drudge article is so outlandlishly editorialized, so rediculously one-sided, and so obviously evidence of a half truth (big lie) that further research into a research methodology that describes this source as more centrist or unbiased is simply a waste of obvious time. How is it editorialized? Language from the Drudge report article: A Hoyer press release obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT boldly declares: "Monday, January 8, 2007: The House is not in session." To where did the link go? Ha ha: The House Calendar published by Hoyer's office. Nothing boldabout it. nothing outlandish. In fact it is a listing of the house schedule for the week. So Drudge took a calendar item, called it "bold" told one side of the story, has not amended, corrected, or acknowledged in any way that it is one side of the story. Two sources, including Fox News (the NYPost) article wrote more fully and completely on this little topic. For the 3 time I acknowledge editorial writing of news in all press. FOR THE 3rd time. Don't continue w/ the cr@p about Drudge being an unbiased news source. What hogwash. I would suggest looking at the methodology of the research of the UCLA study. Obviously they didn't look at this example....and there are thousands. I suspect it is faulty slanted research. big deal. There is lots of it. Have a nice weekend.
It was bold...it was a prime example of democrats doing themselves in, which I think is the title of this thread...you hate drudge so much its funny...I hope you know how much fun it is to see you get so ticked off....
So you do get a kick out of pissing people off. Is that just a sick cry for attention or is that the only form of social interaction you are used to?
Darksat: As long as the little weenie bush puppet people stay at places like this forum its okay. One thing they demonstrate that is a lot like the puppet masters, Bush, Cheney, and Rove; is stubborness. It really doesn't matter here. It does matter in big things like life and death, war and peace, though. Fortunately, the puppetmaster bush recently acknowledged mistakes. Good work George. Next time be a little quicker. This acknowledgement occurred after 3,000+ Americans have died in Iraq. We have wasted billiions of dollars, the American ground forces have been acknowledged to be near broke, terrorist actions across the world have increased since 2003, and....oh yeah, Mr. Wanted Dead or Alive Osama....is still alive. You remember him. He was the guy that planned the attack on New York. Last I heard he wasn't in Iraq.
