no, his sickness has to do with sexual fantasies..I agree that he needed to go, I just don't think he is crazy like Cindy Sheehan...

The same sickness Mel Reynolds had, but actually did, and was pardoned by Clinton for and is now trying to run again?

You must have missed that thread.

The difference is that Republicans kick people like Foley to the curb.

The Democrats continue to support people like Reynolds.

Civility among CERTAIN liberals is not important...even among themselves. I remember the last time Pelosi came to San Fran. The crowds were unruly.

The new senate and congress is actually getting something done for the first time in 2 years.

I hope that one day US political discourse will move away from the sensationalist bitching it has been at for the last few years.

At least public protest is allowed ;)

The opposite of course is what the Republicans do. For the majority of the past six years approximately 270 elected officials (senators and congressmen) did exactly what Bush wanted virtually all the time with hardly any dissension whatsoever. Dissenters were treated as idiots and irrelevant. The public had no access to their decisions, in fact the opposite party was pretty much totally negated.

Sounds a lot like a tyranny--a closed group of lawmakers that couldn't have given a damn what the public thought. No input from the outside--no dissent, no other opinions.

Essentially there were about 270 puppets.

They are supposed to be elected officials accountable to the public.

2006 occurred and the public voted down the 270 puppets and installed the Democrats in power in the house and senate.

    So who are the dopes?
