Thats about as cheap of advertising as you're going to get. Obviously he could have spent less, but in reality, $290,000 is nothing for the buzz that he stirred with the grassroots. Think of millions of people at home, at parties, with other people spreading the message that Barack picked up Biden as VP. In November, if he does this again to tell fans and donors to vote, he's going to do very, very well.
Barack Obama has spent an amazing amount of money trying to be the leader of the US. If his spending habits continue after he is elected the country will become bankrupt.
