I just bought this domain and someone wants to buy it from me. He wants me to name my price. I have no idea what this domain is worth. At the moment I have it pointing to an adult site that pays me a few cents for each referral.
If it gets traffic it could be worth something. Otherwise with the hyphens and adult theme, I think you should take whatever you can get for it.
if that other person wants your domain name with hyphens, I say run with it. It not likely that this person is a experience domain buyer because the game itself is frustrating and too long. I say offer it to him for $50. If you paid 8-10 bucks, you're still making a profit. If you ask for a price that's too high, you will alienate the buyer. Then again, ask him to suggest a price first. Maybe he/she will offer more than my suggestion. Good luck and get back to me and let me know what happens. I'm curious.
Honestly, can't see it worth more than reg fee with 2 hyphens & potential issues with owning a celeb name. From what you've told me that he's asking you to name a price, it sounds like a potential appraisal scam where he's trying to get you to appraise it at a site he owns or is affiliate with. Let me guess, did the email say something along the lines of: "Domains are not my main business so I must make sure I don't overpay", & he signs off as a CEO or some other high title person?
Yes, I am pretty sure it is in fact a scam. After I received the email I did some looking up and the language was pretty similar to several other reported scams. Thanks to everyone for your feedback. I actually own a lot of domains with hyphens, but most of them only one hyphen, and they seem to do pretty well as far as traffic goes.
