I've had 3 inspirons and a freidn of mine had a dell studio.

Over the years, I've noticed dell getting cheaper by using parts that don't last long. The old inspirons were work horses, now they're just a bunch of cheap pieces put together.

My friend who had a dell studio had issues with his first one and got a terrible bsod and crashed his HD on the second - he decided to get a refund.

I've used HP's and Lenovo's and have never had a problem with them - I'm planning to get a laptop from Lenovo soon (r type) and they're very affordable too.

    Hope this review helps,

Inspiron is better than Dell Studio.

I'm using Inspiron and no issues with that.

Few of my friends are facing lot of problems with Dell Studio.

Maybe Dell Inspiron 1520 is enough for you. Well it has the Nvidia 8600 M GT graphics card and a 15″ screen which no other model has.
