Buy a HP, DV series over G series much better company than DELL, better support and generally better built machines, buying a DELL is like shooting yourself in the face with a shotgun, cheap, badly made and very bad customer service.
i think del i5 is the best option available in the market. though HP is an old and promising company, DELL is an innovation one.
In my opinion, the dell laptop battery last longer and more durable than the HP batteries as most of dell batteries are made of Japanese cells. But the probook notebook is good in performance..
DELL 100% , I'm owner of HP Pavilion DV6000 , and I have hugeeee problems with it ... HP just own3d us with this model of notebook. Hate them
I will never buy HP ever again. About 5 years ago me and my girlfriend both bought ourselves an HP laptop each. Between us we had 3 new motherboards, 1 new network card, 1 new screen and new graphics chip (all died on separate occasions). This was all just malfunction of hardware and within 1 year of purchase. Worst of all the customer service was a complete disgrace and they would not replace with new laptops after the 3rd malfunction even though they said they would. I must admit I had to have a little laugh to myself when they exited the tablet business earlier this year! Buttheads
It's been speculated that if it wasn't for the school contracts, Dell would be out of business due to the inferior internal architecture they had for so many years. Maybe this thread is old and useless at this point, but I can tell you with the actual knowledge required to answer this question properly... HP is far superior. In order of quality... 1) IBM / Lenovo 2) HP 3) MSI (if you can find it) 4) Toshiba 5) Asus 6) Then the disposables: Dell, Acer, Gateway, etc.
Dell will be a good choice. I also have dell form 5 years and still don’t have any complaint. Although my kids used to play games & movies whole day on it.
