Hi all, I really like this laptop and was wondering if anyone here has one and what do they think of it? I've never owned a laptop before so this will be my first, I really do like dell it's ultraportable and it's sexy as love the crimision red one. Anyone got any quick reviews?
look really cool, compact with lot of power. i used to have a dell 12 inches laptop (PIII, old stuff ), it get hot easily and after one year the battery die (can only last for half an hour..)
Thanks Ahkip, I'm looking at getting the 9cell battery which is reported as lasting as long as 4 hours which isn't too bad. All in all I love the look of it. so yep going to order it today. Unless anyone has any objections or other suggestions
Will have to remember that in 6 weeks time lol. They just called and i tacked on the spare 9cell battery for good mesaure. Now time to salary sacrifice this and should come down to about $1000Us lappy.
Guess what ? Just seen that same laptop tonight and already gathering funds to buy it I bookmarked it's page at dell's site Really sexy one Edit: how did you manage to get the price of 1000$ ? it has higher price on their site 150%
That was i was about to tell u go for that ... i have HP laptop ... purchased 4-5 days back for $1500 Core2Duo M still looking for one dell ... duno how to import that to india 4m US
In AU dollars is spec to what i wanted $2300 ($1900us) or so dollars i then salary sacrifice it though work they claim the tax of the laptop + GST and I get it taken off my tax I pay. or something like that it Actually came to $1641 ($1356us) after speaking to our accountant at work. I still have to pay $2300 ($1900us) out of pocked but it $659 ($544us) of tax will come back in my salary over the next year or so.
It looks pretty sleek. I bought a less-sleek but similar spec Toshiba Satellite U205-S5044 about 8 months ago for $1,300. It looks like those were discontinued to make way for a new model with Vista, but I've been very happy with my purchase. Core 2 Duo or better is the way to go, and 2GB of memory is quickly becoming the standard for laptops that have to run Vista.
