Delisting my pages..

I am developing a new blog and I don't want other people to see it while I am still on the process of improvement. I installed feedjit code to track unwanted visitors. The blog is using a subdomain of myseoblog.net and just started yesterday. I posted 3 articles yesterday and when I checked it when I woke up this morning, there are 12 visitors referred by google.

Is there any way to disallow google from indexing my site while I am still preparing it?

Traffic is important and I am happy to have that early result for a such competitive niche but this is too early...

I have never used myseoblog.net so not sure if this is possible... but if you have access to edit the files then the best way to stop traffic is to use .htaccess with a username and password.

It took a while for the pages to be deleted on my site. Be prepared. :)

Sorry I thought it might be one of those places where anyone can sign up and get a free blog, must admit I didn't look!

If I were you I would put up the .htaccess method because this will prevent people from coming in off the pages that are already in Google and will also stop Google from indexing any more.

If you block, or ask for removal not only will it take time for the pages to be removed, but it may also make it take longer for those pages to be reindexed when you are ready.

I put password protection on every web site I develop until I am ready for public and the search engine spiders.

Well I think I don't need to do it anymore for I am planning to launch my blog to related sites/forums as soon as I have 10 posts.. maybe tomorrow or in the other day...
