Deleted ads still getting clicks?!

So, I went through my account and i noticed that the ads I deleted are still getting all clicks. The bad thing is they are getting most of the clicks and they are linking to landing pages I don't want clicked on.

Any ideas on what might be happening right now? I need to get this figured out right away.

Thanks for any help in advanced.

It's possible people are clicking on the 'Cache' option on search engines such as Google, and the content on that isn't fully up to date?

If i just changed my ads could it be possible that google delays a day or 2 until the new ones start getting used? Cause it's obvious the ones that are getting clicked are deleted and the ones we just approved aren't getting any clicks.

It's probably a cache issue or Google has been slow and is waiting a few days to update.

Changes take up to an hour to be put into operation, and reporting is up to 4 hours behind. After that, as Rec Kite said. Visitors may click on cached versions of the page the ad is on (not just Google's cache, they may have a cached version of where the ad is in their browser) - so, in reality it can take a day for changes to be evident.
