Hi there. I deleted a user from my forum due to the member being very argumentative. We have sorted this issue out now and I would like the member to come back on the forum. I have deleted his account but the posts/threads are still in the forum. Anyway possible I can get his account back? if not, merge his threads/posts with his new account? Thank you.
Well couldnt he restore his database? (Him losing posts, any new members would be the only disadvantage i think) This is only recommended if you have a database to restore within the last few days since deleting him!!
Issue has now been restored. He has now created a new account. I will ban members next time, not sure why I deleted him. Thank you for your replies.
you can restore deleted user, but if you want the post count to be perfect, you will need to run posts query, this will remove all your non-physical deletes, there will be lots of difference as he created new id, you can still restore his old account and merge it
See if you can use this: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=100615 I allow guests to post and use this to transfer these posts later to predefined member account.
