I orignally was planning to launch a product two days after the mortgage companies started to collapse. I rethought and decided to delay the launch due to heavy noriety and propaganda that the news were spewing out scaring the public and their wallets.

First off I like to say for all those out there who think things are improving... Wrong! People say it has already peaked and now things will go back to normal for internet marketors. Wrong again, things just started to show the first shockwaves, we haven't even seen the real consumer repercussions yet.

It is not over nor is the situation improving yet.

People report that September was a record breaking month, and I'm not talking about marketers who moved from ten sales a month to eleven. People may hold their wallets more closely, but it doesn't mean they won't spend a dime.

And just for your information, you can relate anything to this financial crisis and still profit. Even cat food.

The whole recession talk has been on the table for a few years now and there hasn't been one. This is being sensationalized by the media. Would I say things are the best? No. The American economy is still a very strong machine. At its worst, it still performs better than most countries out there.

    I'm not worried.

Whatever man, The US market is not the only one, don't be so dramatic turn your eyes and operations to other markets as well, markets that are going stronger, like Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. Why not promote to them.

September was my best month to date and 2 days worth of data for October shows that it will meet or exceed September's earnings.

Not launching a product because of what is going on in the economy is flawed logic. You've contented yourself to making $0.00 profit as opposed to at least some profit had you launched.

THE SKY IS NOT FALLING...and even if it does, smart markerters will profit greatly from it.

Like Supper said, people are talking about recession for years and everytime some speculations are made and people exaggerate and dramatize the whole situation even if it's not much significant.
In my opinion, don't delay your launch Chickut. Every september, october sales skyrocket.
    Check this out: http://www.google.com/insights/search/#q=buy,shopping,purchase&cmpt=q
According to this graph, there has been massive traffic for those keywords every year. If you think your niche will be affected, pick a different one. It is the best time to launch your product. Make another product if this don't makes your expectations. But you have to lauch something now! :) or keep on promoting some product at least if you are not really sure.

personally the last 5 days have been extraordinary so far. I had an almost-20 sales day followed closely by a 14 sales day. (im averaging 7-8 usually)
