Delay in Keyword Tracker updating PRs?

In the latest update, I had lots of pages move from PR0 or 2 up to PR3 (and one to PR4). These new numbers were derived using McDar's tool and a couple of others recommended on this forum.

But Keyword Tracker still shows most of those at the previous PR0 or 2. Is there normally a delay in KW Tracker getting these updated numbers.?

PageRank (and Pages In URL) only update when the number of back links you have changes (it's primarily a back link tracker... the rest is secondary). My guess is your back links didn't change.

There must be some other explanation, Shawn. For example, one of my pages, www.jimfeeney.org/pro-life.html, went from zero backlinks to five. And they were good links, from sites with PR 6,5,5,4,4. That page's PR rose from 0 to 4 in the update.

But on the backlink tracker, as of today, it still shows that page with zero backlinks and PR0. Any ideas?

I'm not sure why, Shawn. Here, for example, is a backlink to that page from the PR5 http://www.jewsforlife.org/. Look about halfway down the page for my linked article entitled "Why I Am Pro-life."

The keyword tracker only reports the links as shown with the Google link: command.

Ah, that answers it. Thanks. So in reality, the tracker, based on Google's "link:" search, is a "trailing indicator." DP can only list what Google provides. And Google itself, in my example, shows zero backlinks, when I know absolutely that there are five specific, live links to that page from PR4 and higher sites. The delay, then, lies with Google.
