    Hi All

    Is there a name or term for the way Delicious have built their domain name? del.icio.us

    I am also interested in any other popular sites that have a domain name with the same sort of style. Im not interested though in something like bog.us it would need to be a bit more complicated.

    Thanks for the reply. I'm glad you knew what I was asking :)

    Much appreciated for the link to wiki as well. Very interesting article.

    Are these names considered valuable then? Obviously the popular ones are.

    I mean for example if they were available the options for travelin are

    tra.vel.in
    tr.avel.in

    maybe there are some more but hopefully you will get what I'm saying. As there are two options available then the owner would have to buy both.

    I almost wish I never asked as I'm going to go an look for some now.
