Hi, Can anyone tell me about del.icio.us ? Is it just a press release site? How does it work? Does it cost? Why use it?
del.icio.us is a social bookmarking website. You can store your bookmarks online, which allows you to access the same bookmarks from any computer and add bookmarks from anywhere, too. On del.icio.us, you can use tags to organize and remember your bookmarks, which is a much more flexible system than folders. What am i using it? to get free backlinks as many as i can. How does it work? it use tag / keyword to organize or categorize your site. when you submit your site, your site will be listed in del.icio.us. It's free. Press Release ? not exactly but the concept is quite same.
so when i goto the site whos links/bookmarks are on the home page? do they change? So if im understanding this ... 1) you sign up for a account 2) login 3) Save all of your favorite urls in your account 4) logout 5) gain access to them where ever you are. Do they make my bookmarks open to anyone that goes on the site? i just did a search on cars from the home page and i got a list of urls etc ...
Oh ok ... i get it ... So any tips on how i should use this to the max? Can i add a link on my site that automatically bookmarks us when a visitor clicks on it? or does it take user action to add to del.icio.us is ??? come on guys ... how do i best use del.icio.us is
I see. I always what was delicious really for other than for bookmark sharing. So, I guess it can be used for links exchange.
I've never seen my bookmarks on del.icio.us ever get noticed by someone else. Maybe there's a trick to it, I have no idea
You can put their badge and link to bookmark your site, that will be easier for your visitors. More information available on their blog. I hope this helps.
