del.icio.us no follow

    I was using Mong's Backlink Watch which I love

    I noticed one of my tags at deli.icio.us is backlinked and a nice pagerank however it has a no follow tag.

    What does this mean exactly?

    I have a good idea but why would they put a no follow attribute on it

    nofollow means that bots such as googlebot shouldn't give pagerank to your site and not to index your site through that link. Its there because deli.icio.us wants to discourage spamming for backlinks i guess

    So if everyone put no follow in their meta data google would not be able to function with page rank
