Does sandboxed mean that your site isn't ranking well in the search engine or does it mean that you aren't getting high paying click adds with adsense?

Ooo - so how do you know when you're actually out the sandbox? What's the best way to know?

allinanchor searches are the best way to tell. if your allinanchor outranks your regular search by alot, than your most likely sandboxed for that term.

My site is 10 months old. allinanchor: 'free picture hosting' shows me 10th...

Most of the first page is spam.....just directories. I guess I'm boxed.

Thanks for the allinanchor idea! :/ Talk about devastating.

First, do not place spam on your website.
Then you get blacklisted, and you will never be in the Google rankings.
What being sandboxed actually means, is, as far as I know, that Google waits for you site to be indexed. After the next PR update there is a high chance you will be in the Google results.

Hang in there. Many have reported waiting 12+ months before getting released.

Seems like every day the sandbox gets worse and worse... but gets harder to get in. For new sites, it's easy... be light on the incoming links, only get a few good ones until the site is indexed. Then, gradually start adding links. After a month or two you should be good to go for adding a bunch of links. This has worked for me with good success. Haven't been sandboxed at all since doing things this way. Pretty much I just setup a domain, add some content, put a few links to it, and seriously start on it a month or two later.

I've set up a very targeted site, was #1 in less than a month....top 5 immediately. I think it's all about the keywords.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that I'll wake up one day and I'll be out. I'm getting 150 uniques /day from yahoo and msn..... I can't even imagine what G would bring.

    Thanks all
