    Hello,
I was wondering how to define if a website/blog/forum is dofollow or nofollow link, that way I know if I will be wasting my time doing backlink on nofollow or worth the time doing backlink on dofollow.

    Hello,
Thanks for the tool, actually I did some research and found that viewing the source of the thread that has a link in any post will show if the area is do follow or no follow. But one question is if its a forum, blog or article, if viewing one thread, blog post, or article and it shows "no follow" does that mean the whole website, regardless if its another thread, blog post or article, it will be no follow as well? or its only by pages? By the way a link anywhere on the page is required right? in order to test it by "view source"

Lastly if figure the website is no follow, it is almost pointless to built a relationship or do anything on the website if looking to just train your website right?

If there is already some comments on the website, check if they are nofollow, if they are, then chances are pretty high that if you post a comment the link in your comment is going to be nofollow as well.

This is also true for guestbooks and forums.

If one part of the blog, guestbook or forum is nofollow, does that mean the whole website is nofollow as well?
Wow i notice more then 70-80% of the website out there are nofollow, very hard to find that are do follow.

If you are checking manually, then go to source file of the page and find if the link is attached to rel=nofollow...... if it is then the link is nofollow otherwise dofollow..

You can also use NoDofollow addon on your Firefox browser to check nofollow or dofollow links.

I don't think this dofollow and nofollow matters a lot now after Matt-cutts this post "Google: Guest Blogging For Links? You Better Nofollow Those Links(http://searchengineland.com/google-guest-blogging-for-links-you-better-nofollow-those-links-166218) "
Google’s head of search spam, Matt Cutts, did post an official video on this exact question.
Now more focus on quality and natural link.

As we need to build natural links so don't check dofollow or nofollow so that your link profile would look more natural.

On the other hand, if you want to check dofollow or nofollow you can use NoDofollow addon with your browser.
