Define meta tag

i have to need the help for below meta tag list:

<META name="PICS-Label" content="...">

<Meta name="classification" content="..">

so it can helping in seo ranking ? also specify site name it can used this tag

Currently there is no documentation or benchmark that shows that these tags are of any help.

 

Meta tags can help !
I've heard people say that Google no longer uses them or that they dont have much weight.
They can work .. but its HOW they work that becomes fancy

 

I think meta tags is still important coz it help search engine understand what your site is all about..

 

meta tags are essential in helping YOU to help the spider thats indexing your site
