I keep on reading content is king, well what is good content? Surely it is different from a human’s point of view, as a spider will only have the most basic understanding of language from a grammatical point of view? Is content (spiders point of view) a collection of non repeating words with keywords used sparingly withing the page? (keywords sparingly = +-8% ?) Any help on this subject would be appreciated, or maybe someone check out my home page and I will give you a free Poker lesson
This is actually a good question. Surely the spiders' idea of 'good content' can be reduced to some sort of formula - even if the algo should get changed from time to time.
Content may be King, but backlinks to said Content certainly is the Queen of the search engine battle. Honestly, I am not sure that Google's on-page analysis is all that great since the very basis of there SERPs are highly dependent on links. So, for instance I have a bunch of stock market charts on my site. It is "content", but I doubt any spider can parse meaning from the PNGs (aside from the titles I give them). Will Google ever recognize that as content? Sorry - answered you question with a question.
