Define a "Dropped Domain" for me

    Hey DP

I've always assumed when people say "I don't want to buy links from a dropped domain" or something like that, they always meant a domain that expired recently, and you bought it to get the PageRank and/or traffic.

Am I wrong? Isn't that what a dropped domain is?

Next, I have some kid here on DP trying to tell me a site I own is a dropped domain, and this is his proof: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://entitea.com

He says since it was registered in 2001 for a year then expired, then 6 years later I registered, to him that's still a "dropped domain".

So can a domain that has been expired for 6 years really be a "dropped domain"?

Lol, okay, technically, i guess it was at one point dropped. However, you've had it back up long enough to rebuild whatever pagerank it currently has. There is no risk involved for him from that angle. It has been up since 2007 and there have been several PR updates since then. If the status of that was going to have changed, it would have been done long ago. I think he is confused.

Yes the domain is still considered dropped domain.
And it will not leave the dropped domain status after you have own and develop the domain for 1 years.
