Just been blitzing one of my clients reciprocal links that some dumb ass web designer had done, needless to say most of them are gone now. This directory one will make you laugh: realestatelinkexchange.com Description tag: Exchanging link among real estate professional to get link popularity for search engine. Their link was on there alright and in the right category but check it out the directory is in frames so the only site getting "link popularity for search engine" is that one and they have got a nice fat PR6 and 1300 Google backlinks out of it. I feel sorry for all of the unsuspecting estate agents who have been scammed by this site (1000's), always best to hire an SEO.
All of the directory pages are within a frameset so it is impossible for any search engine to pick them up: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=si...avclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_enGB221GB221 This aint no accident, these guys are scammers plain and simple.
that crappy directory network is actually pretty established and known among real estate webmasters. I never gave a thought nor looked into this, but it does look like they are scamming. A very good opportunity for a new real estate directory (like mine) to step in and take over the market.
I know they are like a massive company and they are using the link juice to power their network of sites.
I confess that i got one of their listing packages on one off my sites I've checked the sites an i don't find frames on reals.com and the other 11 sites Could the one you pointed out be an exception? Depressing otherwise as I am keen on being listed there plus they actually deliver traffic every day I am more inclined to believe that its a mistake on that one site than a scam, plus, There is no benefit to them in not having their clients links indexed. Hope so anyway
Your directory will soon have a friend in my directory-- HOMEDIRECTORY.WS --how is it for a domain? I'll combine Real-estate & Home sections in this directory.
