Over the past few months, I've seen so many topics that are crying out to the Digital Point community asking for help of what to do when a virus attacks them. The best way to ensure your not affected by a virus is to have an anti-virus and others methods of defence pre-installed. Unfortunately, some of the best software that you can get costs your hard earned money, or alot of it. So, I've decided to write a short guide on how to pretty much virus-proof your PC to guard against 99.9% of viruses for absolutely nothing out of the pocket, except a few minutes of your time to set the system up. Firstly, you will need to head over to a decent search engine (Probably Google) and type in "Comodo antivirus" (or click here), go to the first result and download the software. Once downloaded, install as normal. Comodo is a very effective Anti-virus, Firewall and Scanner which all act together, unlike most other software and I personally prefer Comodo which is free in comparison to paying for the likes of McAffee. The best thing you can start off doing is by right clicking the icon in the bottom right of your screen, next to the time, and setting Anti-Virus enabled and Firewall & Defense+ to "Training Mode", this will allow the program to learn how your system works and adapt to it. Once you have done that, leave it on for several days and take care to correctly classify all software that it asks to you approve or categorize. You should always have a look at the settings and see if they match you as afterall, the more it knows and the better it fits your system, the more secure the connection it can give you.
