    Hiya,

I downloaded a script, uploaded it as a zip file on my server and used unzip command to extract the files.

Now all the permissions are screwed up for some reason and I am getting permission error on every step.

Could someone help me and let me know what are the default permissions of files and folders to run a script on a linux server?

I understand some folders and files have to be chmod 777 but what is the default for others?

    Thanks :)

When you create a folder by default it is set to 755.
