Though I haven't blogged/updated my website (www.writeffects.com) consistently lately, but have already been optimizing my website well enough for possible SE visibility for more than a year now. Was a bit busy for couple of months now due to some other important things (personal) that really needs my attention that's why I haven't had the time to really focus on optimizing (off-page optimization specifically) my website... I am really concern, because my competitors, I think, have that powerful secret in keeping their stability in search engine spots. Well, I am sure, one possible reason is because they have $$$ to pay for SEO services, pay for paid listing, outsource other SEO tasks.. I guess? Now, I just wanted to know if you've experienced this kind of situation when you first started your website? What have you done that made your website visible to SEs now? Well, aside from spending $$$, do you have any suggestions except of course, hiring new people to help me out? Are there any FREE SEO service who can help me out with my optimization? Or better yet, cheaper/affordable rates for SEO service that guarantees better ranking and search engine visibility? Really wanted to increase my sales, i guess everybody wishes the same.. Hi Writefects! Yeah, SEO is something you have to take care of. I'm currently working for a client maxmizing visibility in the SE's and there is definately things you can do. The big thing, is realizing that Google did another algorithm change in June called "Caffeine". Basically what that means to you use, to consistently keep fresh information up on your sites. Then do this process; 1. Put fresh content on an article directory like Hubpages, Squidoo, or preferably EzineArticles) (the reason is to be able to also have a link from these High PR Sites (PR5, PR5, and PR6 respectively) pointing to your site, and again, preferably the new url string. 2. Then, after the article is reviewed and accepted, post it to your site. (The duplicate content thing, is not an issue, contrary to popular belief, on your site as it is posting to other info sites) 3. Ping your site and new url string . So abc.com and abc.com/your-keyword. 4. Bookmark everything. 5. RSS Feeds Rinse and repeat. That's some basic stuff. I have more advance things I do, but that's a start. Hi, There are no service providers who can do SEO for you free. Instead you can try for cheap and affordable SEO services who can make you alive in SE. Everything depends on the severity of your keyword, product or website. Whatever it may be it's lot better do opt an SEO for your site or go for some good SEO service providers.

you are competing for visibility on a search engines with BILLIONS of web pages - practically impossible to get on first couple of results pages without paying a lot of money for it anymore, especially if your website category/topic is common
You will end up getting what you pay for. Those that work for peanuts typically deliver NOTHING in the way of results... and by results I mean targeted traffic and site conversions. If you can't afford to pay someone good, you're better off taking 6 months to a year and learning the basics of SEO. That's about how long it takes to really get the basics down assuming you spend several hours per day learning.
Even the basics don't guarantee you anything. I've got several crap sites competing with mine and successfully sitting high above it for my best keywords. Nothing I do can shake them and they really are sites with no optimisation at all or even any real meaningful activity.
You should just keep optimizing your site yourself with blog commenting, forum posting etc... Also I've noticed that forum profiles are really effective now so I would make some. Some guy made 500 for me for $5 and about a couple have been indexed so far. His name is IXRUMER on aim.
Many thanks to all those who responded.. Will definitely be spending more time with my optimization, maybe in time if money won't be a problem, will be able to ask help from the gurus. On the other hand, I am still making some pennies though.. I still have my loyal and happy clients with me. They said, they will keep on ordering some more, they won't be looking for other services anymore (one client said) since they are completely contented with the quality, what's needed for my business (as they said) is a little or even a harder push to be seen in the public. I am not sure if I should take it as a compliment? Or not? Thank you guys, again.
