Approx. 100 directories and about 360 search engines.

 

Near 100 messages totally has been received.
But only 25 of them are unique (from different SE/DIR)
From some SE up to 10 e-mails for different pages has been received.
Practically all e-mails form Search Engines but not from Directories.

It is looks like that this is 100 SE submission but not 360 SE + 100 DIR!

 

Actually all emails you received were unique. My service submits not only your home page but your deep links as well. In your particular case, your site had about 15 deep links and all were submitted.

Also, keep in mind only a fraction of search engines and directories ask for an email addresses. All 460 search engines and directories received your submission, but only a small percentage sent you an email verifying the submission. Please check your report for more information about which sites were submitted to.

Once again, please understand the submission report(s) you will (and have) receive(d) is accurate and the total amount of emails received from search engines and directories isn't an indication of the exact amount submissions of your url(s). The proof is in the high quality traffic that's usually received within days after submission depending on how well your web site is optimized.

 

Hi Brentn. I must say, I am appalled at how shocking this service was. I honestly haven't ever heard of such a terrible submission service. Want to know why it was so bad?

Well, I received around 400 emails, which isn't too bad. Until I started to look at who was sending the e-mails. The vast majority of these emails were duplicates from the same company. I opened a few of them, to find the 'confirmation of XYZ link submitted'. What was the XYZ link?

Well, not only were NONE of the links submitted the ones I asked for, the links submitted were for a page blocked to robots as it contains duplicated 'policy' info, my ICO file - yes, that's right, this guy submitted my ico file to search engines and directories!! And not just once either. From a quick glance at my emails, on one page I can see SEVENTEEN emails from Entireweb Free Submission - with a mix of my two urls, the icon file and the blocked file. Why would anyone submit more than 1 link to a directory unless the directory offers you to submit more than 1 link at once? What an idiot!

I would be failing in my duty of being a good citizen if I did not stop others from wasting their money on such a shockingly bad service. This is - I kid you not - the worst submission service I have ever heard of, it's even worse than guys who don't actually do any work except take your money.

My advice, DO NOT USE THIS SUBMISSION SERVICE!!

The e-mail address used for the submissions is a load of crap anyway, so if anyone wants proof of this, I'll happily give access to the e-mail account.

 

I have addressed this issue with Spider-Man and I did not want this issue to remain open. At times when search engine and directory submissions occur the SE and Directory sites MAY or MAY NOT email you for confirmation. If you submit your web site to 100 directories chances are that somewhere between 20 to 40 of them may email you for confirmation (of course this all depends on their policies). My service is the same, and customers will most likely only see a small fraction of confirmation emails. This does not mean your site was only submitted to a fraction of the search engines and directories that you purchased. After submission I also email you a confirmation report to where your site was submitted.

To address the other issue of his files being submitted. I have explained to Spider-Man that I use a software based and manual technique for submissions. The way I detect deep links is by scanning your site with my software for all your deep links. Unlike the rest of my customers, Spider-Man had certain files associated with his home page url. Looking back I could have deleted them before submission, but as I explained to him if my software detected his files a search engine certainly will too. So I never understood why he was so upset with the submission of his ico file. If there were duplicates of his "policy" and "info" that was only because he either misread the email or he had duplicate urls associated with his home page.

Anyone using my service or any other submission service needs to make sure their site is optimized for submission and the proper files are blocked from robots or spiders.
