    Hi,

So here's my problem: I am highly motivated and highly driven. I love to use computers and I love to make money. I take lots of paid surveys but that pays chump change in comparison to what I have heard affiliate marketing pays. I am on my third attempt at marketing and this time I feel like I am close to something. I have made $0 from clickbank and like $4 from adsense. I have had my google adwords campaign running for a week about 2000 impressions but only 4 clicks. I get around ten unique hits a day mostly from the TrafficSwarm program or my friends blog. How do I turn my website into a profitable venture or where do I go to learn how. Time almost isn't an issue for me and I have been dedicating at least 4 hours a day everyday for the past 3 weeks to research and work on my website. I know this looks like a great place to plug a product or ebook but please don't unless you think it will seriously help me.

AKA- What have you guys done to make money in affiliate marketing and where did you learn it?

My drive is starting to slow and I don't know how much more energy I can put into what feels like a sinking ship. All help and advice is greatly appreciated

    Thanks
    Kris

    Hi Kris,

Sounds like you are not going to give up until you succeed!

So, it's time to get some education. Here are two free ebooks that will help.

Make Your Site Presell (NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK)

Affiliate Masters Course/ (NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK)

because they are free, don't let the price indicate the quality. These are two of the best affiliate education ebooks on the market!

Also, Allan Gardyne's site "Associate Programs has a wealth of solid information.

http://Associate Programs Wwebsite (NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK)

    Hope this helps.

    Jim

Try the link again. I fixed it. Also, I added a bit about Associate Programs since you responded.

There are many methods with free info available. Pick the one that most suits what you like to do and work it. Really focus. It will take hard work before you are successful but there is no get rich easy scheme.

Focus and persistence are the keys.

Ive found that affiliation is a hell of a lot harder than just building a website and getting adsense clicks.

IMO it requires a lot more skill to find the right products to promote and get them in good places so they convert. In saying this the returns are definitely a lot higher long-term, thats what im finding anyway compared to websites.

    Regards.

I think the biggest thing that has helped me create websites that earn well is just reading forums like Digitalpoint, Webmasterworld and a few blogs. You can easily eat up all your time reading forums and blogs however, so learning to quickly move on past the threads that won't be of any help to you is important too.

The "never give up" attitude is another very crucial part of it, as initially earnings can be slow while you're figuring out how it all works.

Oh, and instead of tinkering around endlessly watching meagre stats and twiddling with design layouts etc, get more traffic!

And once you've done that, get more traffic!

When thats working well, get more traffic! ;) I think you see where I'm going with this?
