Hello all, I have a dedicated server which I rent monthly, my question is I have had a few members lately say they cant get on one of my sites as it give 404 page etc. I have noticed it too and think its down to the ammount of connections I am allowed. I am not sure if my host has limited my connections? how would I know ? I have WHM control but can I find out from this?
    Cheers for any help

Why not just contact your host with this question? If they're a decent company they will help you out with this. :)

I suggest contacting your server supplier. They must have a support section right?

Yes but seems odd that I can not find out myself some way as my host could be ripping me off or others who hire dedicated servers could be being ripped off etc.
I am not saying they are but who is to know ?
    we just trust them?
    Cheers

    sometimes restarting servers work.

For instance one of these for me was down this morning even though apache itself is running, and some sites are inaccessible.
    DNS Server (BIND)
    E-Commerce Server (Interchange)
    FTP Server (ProFTPd/PureFTPd)
    HTTP Server (Apache)
    IMAP Server
    Mail Server (Exim)
    POP3 Server
    SQL Server (MySQL)
    SSH Server (OpenSSH)

i restarted all, it all goes well.

Also in your WHM, go to Service Configuration> Service Manager > check "monitor" for most services.
That'll will restart if any of them is faulty or fail

Contacting your host is the best option

Is it a server 404 page? or a internet down page?

Ask them, if they are ripping you off then it's better to know rather than continuing. Make sure you get a backup though first :).
