I'm looking at going the dedicated server path and I'm kinda confused with the big price differences, I have not completely decided on the exact configuration, but here is one host I'm looking at now http://www. ahosting.biz/promotion-dedicated.html and the host I'm using at the moment is http://www .ehostpros.com/dedicated/dedicated.html Can anyone explain to me why such a big difference, and what should I look for when choosing a dedicated server host? Thanks for any advice
I couldnt look at ahosting but ehostpros.com/dedicated/dedicated.html is terrible prices. They want 199$ for a Intel Celeron 1.3 GHz with 512 ram 60gb and only 1Kgb. That is terrible and probably the worst I have ever seen.
I use LayeredTech.com and I'm quite happy with them. I highly recommend using them. Competitive prices and awesome services and products. Take look over here too for what other people have to say: http://webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2
Yeah that's what I thought about ehostpros.com, I only have them as shared hosting at the moment. Thanks for the link fsmedia, I checked them out,but It looks like they only do self managed servers,I don't think I'm up to totally looking after server software yet. Can anyone else help with reasonable priced managed servers? My budget would be around $250 a month for a dual Xeons with at least 2.4GHZ and two sata's 120GB in raid1 and 2gb of ram, more storage space would be good but depends on the price. I know I can google to get some info, but would like to hear from members here, what host they are using for there dedicated servers If possible, as I would just like to do it right first time round. I would appreciate any links and info. Thanks
Ok fryman, what could I get around that price with a reliable host? I can stretch the budget to $300.00 but $250.00 would be better.
Hmmm... maybe you can get something similar to what you are looking for.. http://www.dedicatednow.com/ has great reviews at WHT
