    Hey all,

Looking for a dedicated server/colocation location to host a pretty CPU-intense site on. Where do you/what would you recommend as a host? Directspace.net has a deal on Colocation for $50 a month, 5tb transfer..etc, and is the one that I have my eye on.

Any ideas or thoughts, please let me know :)

Is location a factor to you?

    Location preference?

I love chicago, since that is where my uplink traffic goes thorugh with comcast, so I can GREAT speeds there, and so does a large portion of the US.

    1u/2u/4u??

I assume you know that you have to purchase the hardware, set it up yourself, manage it, then ship it off to the datacenter if you colocate.

Colo and for one, ask thewird here on DP, he's great with colocation and he can build you a wicked server to handle it with reasonable pricing on colo.

You can also go for a Robust dedicated server than colo, and don't go for much cheap hosting, choose reliability and read reviews on google too.
