Dedicated IP?

    I'm going to sign up for a new hosting plan for my new website and I consider buying a dedicated IP as well (it's plus $2 per month). However, I wonder for what is dedicated IP actually good for? Can it somehow improve the rankings of my site in Google, as it will be hosted on a unique IP? Am I right?

    Dedicated ip doesn't make big difference but better to have if your website is in very competitive area.

    your server will have a dedicated IP regardless, but perhaps they are giving you a different class c IP?

    You can run a successfull website on a shared ip adress. However, if you have an sll certificate on your website, you do need a dedicated ip.

    In term of PR, I don't think dedicated IP will help you to get higher PR.
