Does a dedicated ip affect serps? I have multiple sites on the same ip, if I get a dedicated ip for one of them will this increase rankings?
I've thought about this same ip issue myself, With the increase of social networking sites, it has become very easy to build that having different IP addresses makes no difference to your rankings, Some hosting companies offer dedicated IP packs with different Class-A.
I dont think same or different IP will make difference to your website page rank. Make good website with quality contents, add more backlinks, thats the mantra..
I have not seen hard evidence that a dedicated IP effects SERPs. In the past there were examples of sites getting jammed up because of the activities of other sites on the same IP's. I haven't seen reports of this more recently. I have seen examples of email being blacklisted due to share IP however, and that can be a problem. A dedicated IP is cheap, and I prefer to use them for the peace of mind it provides. It is also good to be able to administer the site by IP as well as domain.
