We all know the constant adjusting of your AW accounts (at least i do this constantly). My question is...once you eg. see a Adgroup recover and regain good CTR and quality score...its time to turn down bids. You want to turn them down, say, for keeping a nice 4-6 position...but at the lowest possible cost. Say, right now you're at $0.30....and actually you would want to have $0.10 But you for sure dont want to set i to "$0.10" immediately, you want to do this gradually. Is there general tips in what steps i should reduce bids? Eg. reduce for $0.02, check in another two days..reduce again?
There's always the alternative option of leaving the bids the same, and letting your advert move up the rankings... Depending on whether the account is bound by a restrictive budget, I generally let it run until it stablises, then recalculate the optimum position (in terms of profitability).
"Eg. reduce for $0.02, check in another two days..reduce again?" Yea, I've read somewhere that, once you have good QS and CTR, try to lower the bids just a bit, like you said $0.02 or $0.05, and then check the next day if you are still keeping your positions. If yes, then try to get a bit lower again. Do that, until you reach the border, when you start loosing your positions.
