Decrease in Visitors count

    Hi,

I'm using Analytics to monitor traffic for couple of my blogs.
I didn't update a blog for a month and there is no traffic now.

My blog got more than 500 visits according to analytics till last month but now it shows only 174 under "Visits"

My question is if I received 500 visits last month and not receiving any traffic now, the Visits column should show it as 500 right?

Why the count is decreasing? Any idea?

I think the visits column on the outside there shows the visits for the month you are currently in. So after the month where you had 500 visits ended a new month started and it reset to 0.

Exactly, it is not total number of your visiotors but it shows visits in last month. The column showing -70% compares last 30 days and previous 30 days.

I have the same problem Since Sept 1 zero traffic from Google. for one of my blogs which use to get 800-1000 UVs per month. You lost only Google traffic or traffic from other sources too ? Coz if its only Google traffic like in my case then it has to be something about Google search rather than Analytic.

No actually I'm not updating that blog and hence there is zero traffic now. I think you misunderstood my question:D

The problem is not the analytics. You state the problem. You didn't updated your blog for a month. People expect updates. Google likes sites that constantly update. Don't do anything for another month, and feel lucky if you get 20 visitors next month.
