Decrease in External Links Using Yahoo Site Explorer

    Starting on Friday, I noticed a significant drop in external backlinks to a site I monitor using Yahoo Site Explorer. The competition was holding steady. Today, we dropped a few more but the competition is showing decreases as well now.

    Wondering if anyone else is experiencing anything similar? Nothing we have done could explain such a wholesale decrease in links.

    It would make me feel better if this is something that is happening all over.

    FYI: For me at least Site Explorer only works properly in IE.

    As a follow up to my own question, I did a search on Twitter and found someone complaining about the same thing.
