This looks much better, in my experience you should get between 0.5-1% CTR for that single ad. Judging on 0.5CTR on your 1K visitors means about 3k pageviews, so you get at least 50 clicks , at about 10c average on click that single ad should give you at least 5$/day, at least!

Now, the second step is to add some link units, they convert really well.

    I would suggest this way:

One horizontal link unit before the "posted in" line, just under your menu, but in content area.
One square link unit in sidebar, in the first screen under search or under social media
You should have an ad inside your post content, but if you are not experienced with wordpress or whatever system you use don't do that, because that ad should be displayed only when a single post is vieweed, to prevent too many ads to be shown, there is a plugin for this, but for now it is enough an ad at the end of your page, it will have few clicks, but experience proved that ads under content are giving good money/click rate.
Also make that sidebar ad bigger, his weight should be raised.

The ad inside content is good, but also tests proved that they convert better if they are at the left. For best conversion, the solution is to move sidebar to left, but if you still want to look good, leave it there and move the content ad to the left.

Thanks again for your valuable feedback, Mr. TheDark. I've got some good/bad news whichever way you would like to take it. I've given my website a new theme. I bought a theme from themeforest and I'm using that now as I feel it gives my website a more clean & professional look. Do the ad placements suit the new theme?

    Regards,
    A.S

    1. move your ads to 'above the fold'
    2. match your ads color to your website.

if your website category is about game, free download, music blah blah.. that give you a little each click. you better move on affiliate ads.. that also make better money.

Hey TonyInABox, I've changed the colors of my adverts. They match the theme. Does it look better now?

Remove the border and it should be a bit better.

1$ with 1500 uVs is way too less..
even with a ctr of 4-5% you will get around 50-75 hits..so untill you are getting 2-3 cents per click you should be making much more.
    Thanks

Well the 30-50p you mentioned is a quite ridiculous amount of money for such traffic. The only problem you have with this website is that your traffic is not ad targeted. They are there to see what you have posted and I bet that most of your traffic is returning. I would go for a company that offers payments per views, not clicks.

Ever since I changed the colour palette it's been around three or four hours and I've gotten one click with 400-600 pageviews and it's payed me my highest ever for one click. £1.49 for that one click. I think it's actually helping.

I have provided numbers on previous page.

What do you recommend? I head Google Adsense is the best all around..?

I agree with this 100% I invested money in marketing research and found out that nobody who visits websites clicks google adsense and that the only ones making money are GOOGLE themselves.

I mean you pay $2 a click for adwords and then get back .05 if someone clicks that same ad.

thats messed up to begin with not to mention everyone is "blind" to all ads now-- nobody clicks ads

This AGAIN is why I ask how DP can be making $$$ from adsense on this website HERE

If you ask me, Google Adsense IS the best ad program there is around BUT it is not suitable in every situation. Since you can see that your site is hardly making any money with adsense even though your traffic is substantial, then something is wrong. What I think is wrong with your website is that you don't get traffic that is interested in clicking ads as I said before. This doesn't necessarely mean that you cannot make money through your website however. What I would recommend is that you should find a program like adsense that doesn't pay per click but per impression. This way, your traffic will translate in $ instantly. You won't suddenly get rich but I guarantee that you will be making much more than you do now.
