This subject is a hot potatoe. My knee jerk reaction is the doctors and nurses did not do this on purpose, but let's let an international court decide. I won't even venture to offer an opinion until I read up on it more. I do hope this case gets the eyes of the international community.
Erm..Qaddafi is a socialist and I've heard several highly religious Muslims anathemize him, though I don't know enough about him to say whether they're correct or not.
If they delieberatley infected these children, then surely they deserve the death sentence. i am not always pro-death penalty, but infecting children knowing they will dies deserves the severest form of punishment.
OK, Why would they infect them deliberately? And stay in Libya working in the hospital ..... to get caught. (Could make sense only to muslims or people who like to believe in lies and foolish theories.) Also if they did it deliberately, Qadaffi would have known who stays behind. And show proofs. He had 8 years to find out the truth. The nurses were tortured and if they had connection with CIA and Mosad they would have confessed everything. Provide names of CIA and MOSAD agents, how they got the infected blood banks etc. None was given by Libya. Muslims around the world do seem to like the idea that the west wants to kill them because they are muslims. I do know muslims who believe in this nonsense. The truth is a proven terrorist like Qadaffi who DELIBERATLY BLEW UP THE PAN AM PLANE is still in power. And no death sentence or jail time for him. Although probably he deserves a lifetime sentence for it. But now he even plays games to get even with the west by jailing innocent nurses. (As a matter of fact his racketeering succeeded. He got hundreds of millions in compensations and managed to convince the muslim world the west did it purposely.)
Those children were infected prior to nurses and doctor arrival ... that is what some analists said ... even muslim ones.... but hey money is money and Gadafi won sympathy with his citizens .... shame for those nurses and doctor who were there to help and they got in the middle of some political war .... it is always small guy who gets hammered ...
