I don't like it, sounds fishy to me...to implement this would require developers to create programs around this as well. Not to mention, the "filing" aspect, hard drives read much faster than your internet connection can most likely download, let alone upload, so local would be better. Can you imagine the increased bandwidth usage this would do to our datacenters? This would harm all other aspects of computing (production/manufacture of new CPUs and technologies) and is not a good idea IMHO.

And I don't know about anybody else, but I'll burn my computer before I should ever need to pay a monthly fee on it, like a service.

I definitely agree with you. Personally, I don’t think Microsoft and Apple will just do nothing regarding this in case.

Just buy Google script. They plan to do just that... distributed thin-client cloud computing...

    Cheers!

I think this is not possible for large networks. It may be work good for small scale. That guy is saying we no need to upgrade our hardware's all the operations are done through cluster how it is possible to give continue supply to our system. If it is possible means how it is provide this facility at 24x7 days?????

I don't see this going out to the public. The only people I see this benefiting would be business owners, not local resident's. There's just too many local resident's for this kind of service to handle I would think.

It's very unreal and if it were possible, it wouldn't happen in the near future.
